Bandwidth Pooling for Dedicated Servers

Bandwidth pooling combines monthly traffic from two or more EqServers dedicated servers under one regional or global pool, so usage is managed at fleet level instead of through separate server allowances.

Monthly Traffic Pools start at 1,000 TB per month for two or more dedicated servers. For this service, 1 PB equals 1,000 TB under the decimal convention. Larger monthly volumes are available.

A Monthly Traffic Pool uses a defined monthly transfer allowance measured in TB. A 95th-percentile pool uses a commit-based bandwidth model. Selected custom 95th-percentile configurations start at 10 Gbps, with the port speed, commit level, locations, technical requirements, and commercial terms confirmed during review.

Monthly inbound and outbound traffic are counted together across all participating servers. For example, 500 TB inbound plus 1,000 TB outbound equals 1,500 TB of total monthly usage.

No. Unused Monthly Traffic Pool allowance does not roll over to the next month. Each monthly allowance applies only to its current calendar month.

The usage period runs from the first day through the last day of each calendar month. The Monthly Traffic Pool resets on the first day of the next month.

Yes. EqServers can review recent usage and propose a larger Monthly Traffic Pool or a different bandwidth model. Pricing and implementation timing are confirmed in an updated quote and service order.

If pooled usage exceeds the monthly allowance, the service must be upgraded to a larger Monthly Traffic Pool. EqServers confirms the new allowance, pricing, and implementation timing through an updated quote and service order.

Available locations include Netherlands AMS-01, Germany FRA-01, Canada MTL-02, and United States WDC-02, DAL-13, SFO-12, and LAX-12. The four United States locations can form one regional pool. Server, plan, network, and contract requirements are confirmed during review.

Yes. A global pool can combine servers in the Netherlands, United States, Canada, and Germany. Pooling combines traffic accounting and billing; it does not bond ports, route traffic between locations, move workloads, or provide application failover.

Yes. Servers with different physical port speeds can participate in the same pool. Pooling combines traffic accounting and billing only; each server keeps its ordered port speed unless a separate port upgrade is ordered.
